Do I have to switch phone companies?
No. When you want to use our service, you just have to dial our 1-800 number before you make your phone call.
Are their any connection fees? How much does the 1st minute cost?
There are no connection fees. We bill based on one minute rounding, so if you call for 30 seconds, we bill you for 1 minute, and if you call for 1 minute and 39 seconds, we bill you for 2 minutes, and so on. This is very different from many common calling cards which charge in 3 minute increments. You can view our rates on the “rates” page.
What is the subscription fee?
There is no subscription fee.
Is there a contract?
There is no contract. You can cancel your service at any time.
Does my account expire after a certain time?
Yes. We have a rolling expiration policy, meaning, you get 6 months from the last ACTIVITY date. That means, if you make a call today, you get another 6 months. If you make a call in 2 weeks, you get 6 months from that two weeks, and so on. Accounts are valid for 6 months from the date of last use. After that time, balances are forfeited. We would suggest using the service at least once every 5 months to maintain your account validity.
What about busy signals? How about answering machines?
You are not charged for busy signals. If an answering machine or voicemail picks up, you will be charged for a one minute phone call (or more if you leave a very long message!)
How is the voice quality?
We use big-name carriers (the big phone companies you have heard of) to send our traffic internationally. We get better deals because we buy in volume. Voice quality is therefore generally quite good. Some countries may experience intermittent issues as is the industry norm to less developed nations with poor phone networs, mobile phones in bad service areas, etc.
How long does it take to refill my account?
Refills are instantly applied.
Can you just refill me automatically so I don’t have to keep doing it?
We are concerned about fraud and theft issues, so we do not offer this service at this time. We will hopefully be able to do this for you in a few months.
Where can I use your service?
Through our toll-free number, you can use our service from anywhere in the USA or Canada. If you are traveling abroad and are interested in using the service overseas, please call customer service for information on international access methods. We do have access from 14 more countries but it doesn’t always work from every hotel for example.
